The Tac-M79 can be configured in a variety of ways. A version that has proven to be very popular with boaters and back packers is the pistol configuration.
The pistol version weighs in at a mere 2lb 6oz. It uses a Mil Spec A2 type Ar pistol grip (any AR compatible grip will work) and can be adapted for a shoulder configuration by attaching ANY AR compatible shoulder stock. Remember that neither the buffer nor the spring are required.
This is a level of flexibility in a 37mm launcher that has only been dreamt of until now. Just Wow!
The Short Barrel version of the launcher does not come with any picatinny rails, the barrel is plain and undrilled.
